About PlotX.
PlotX is an independent research platform operated under the PlotX brand. The public website is at plotx.app and the research workspace is at workspace.plotx.app.
The official contact for privacy inquiries and account-deletion requests is hello@plotx.app.
Information handled.
- Account information: details used for sign-in, profile and account verification, including your email address and authentication information.
- Research workspace content: files you upload, imported worksheets, project information, variable mappings, figure configurations, R code, generated outputs, captions and reports you save.
- Support correspondence: the email address, message and any information you choose to send when contacting PlotX.
- Technical request information: information sent by a browser when requesting a page or service, such as an IP address, request details and browser information. Hosting services process this information to deliver and protect the service.
Do not upload personal or confidential information that is unnecessary for your work. You are responsible for having permission to use the information you provide.
How information is used.
PlotX uses account and workspace information to authenticate access, import and process datasets, run R jobs, save projects, produce figures and reports, and deliver requested downloads.
Information is also used to send account-related messages, respond to support requests, investigate problems, protect accounts and maintain recovery backups.
PlotX uses service providers for hosting, account email, support correspondence and encrypted recovery backups. Information is processed by these providers as needed to operate the service and may be processed outside your country.
The public website does not connect to private workspace APIs, collect research uploads or send research data to an external AI service. Its scientific examples use synthetic data.
Subscriptions.
We use your account details and phone or WhatsApp number to contact you about subscription requests and payment. Your IP address is checked against a local country database to select your price. We retain subscription and access records to manage your account. Privacy or deletion requests: hello@plotx.app.
Storage, backups and deletion.
Saved projects, datasets and outputs are stored to provide the workspace and allow you to return to your work. To request account deletion or discuss removal of your content, email hello@plotx.app. PlotX may need to verify your control of the account before acting.
Encrypted recovery backups are stored separately from active workspace data. Existing backups currently have no automatic expiry. Removing active data or an account does not, by itself, remove copies already contained in those backups.
If you need a particular deletion timeframe or removal from recovery copies, contact PlotX before uploading the affected information. This policy does not promise a fixed deletion or backup-retention period.
Access and security.
Workspace access is controlled through accounts. HTTPS protects traffic to the public workspace, and recovery backups are encrypted before being stored off the server. Operational access is used to maintain, protect and troubleshoot the service.
No system can guarantee complete security or uninterrupted availability. Keep your password and account links private, and avoid sending them in support messages.
Information may be disclosed when needed to comply with applicable legal obligations or to address security incidents and misuse. The scope of any disclosure should be limited to its purpose.
Your requests.
You can contact PlotX to ask about your information, request a correction, request an available copy of your information, or request account and content deletion. What can be provided and any legal rights depend on the circumstances and applicable law.
Email hello@plotx.app from the address associated with your account where possible. Describe the request without including passwords, recovery links or unnecessary private research information.
Changes and contact.
This policy identifies its effective date above. Material changes to the way information is handled should be reflected in updated wording and communicated as appropriate.
For questions about this policy or a privacy request, contact hello@plotx.app.
